About the Role
VG Meats is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team in Stoney Creek.
This is a unique hybrid role that blends culinary expertise with retail engagement. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality food experiences while supporting both kitchen and retail operations.
We’re looking for someone who is:

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to high quality standards
Execute special menu items as directed by management
Support and oversee daily kitchen operations
Maintain inventory and track food, supplies, and equipment
Ensure all kitchen, storage, and prep areas are clean and sanitized
Assist with menu planning, portioning, and food cost control
Set up and maintain attractive food displays
Serve and engage with customers in a retail setting
Provide product recommendations and drive sales through suggestive selling
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience, OR
Experience in a retail food environment
Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and kitchen operations
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
